YPG Connection: The War

The War

Since the day we took our first breathe we unconsciously entered a war that would have to be fought until the end. Not a physical war but a spiritual one. A war that consists  of problems, fears, negative thoughts, unexpected events, tragedy, and the list goes on. A battle fought in the shadows.

This war takes place in the heart and the mind. It is one that can not be seen but can be perceived. Some overcome, but some give up along the way. How can we win a war  where it seems we are at a disadvantage? To win the war we have to use all the resources that are available to us.

The greatest resource available to us is the word of God. Not only is it multifunctional but it is extremely potent, capable of destroying all evil spiritual forces. With the word of God we are able to defend ourselves and fight back. The Bible describes the word of God as a double bladed sword. So in other words it is a weapon available to us. God knew that we would not be able to do it on our own so He left us His word so we may win this war.

Furthermore, not only is his word powerful but his word is faithful. It is written: “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.” (John 15:7 CEB) In the moments when we feel we are loosing or we have no more strength to continue all we need to ask and it will be done. However we must remain with Him and in His word.

So let’s continue fighting this war, because not everything is lost. We may have lost battles but the war is not over. Even if our strength is diminished all we need to do is ask Him. He will help us and continue helping us until the end.
