The “Help” Project

On Saturday February 3, 2018, the Youth Power Group Branches of Southern California joined forces to bring awareness to a growing issue in our society: self-harm and suicidal thoughts. The YPG set out on this mission traveling from Los Angeles to the Santa Monica Pier; and in return a successful march was created which caught the attention of the public. The YPG was able to reach out to people who had experienced these issues and also raised awareness of these issues to others. The response from the community was positive and encouraging. They were glad to know that the YPG is raising awareness of these issues. Many people in the community were interested in the project and wanted to know how they could be involved in this movement. The main reason this movement was done was to start the help project. This project is to help anyone struggling with self-harm or suicidal thoughts and to let them know they are not alone! We won’t judge, we’ll help you.
